Requirements:  Windows 3.1
               Dot Matrix Printer
               Mouse (Helpful but not essential)

Installation:  Insert the floppy disk into your A or B drive. Type A: (or B:)
               and [ENTER]. Type WIN SETUP [ENTER]. Windows will load and run
               Labels By Design SETUP. Setup will copy the above files to your
               hard drive and create a new program group.
     
Labels by Design prints mailing labels (15/16" X 3 1/2") allowing the user to
place graphics on the left side of the label using PrintMaster, Print Shop or
New Print Shop (Orig & Hi-Res) graphics.

The program is menu driven and very simple to use. Help is available by pressing
F1 or by selecting Help from the menu.

Labels By Design supports only dot matrix printers. It is designed to allow the
user to print a minimum of 1 label (without ejecting an entire page). Since
laser printers are not capable of advancing a single label at a time, they
simply do not work.

Labels By Design was specifically designed with PrintMaster and Print Shop
graphics as the target graphic formats. Their size makes them ideal for printing
on labels without the need for resizing (causing distortion). In addition to
these graphic formats, the user can import bitmap images from the clipboard or
simply capture any portion of the screen using the snapshot feature. Once a
graphic image has been placed on the label the user can reposition it by placing
the mouse cursor over the image, pressing and holding the left mouse button and
dragging the image.

The program was designed with simplicity in mind. Experiment with it and you
will find it fast, easy to understand and simple to use.

This is an evaluation version of Labels By Design. This version does not support
FILE OPEN or FILE SAVE. All other features are supported.

The registered version is fully functional, supporting all file operations (OPEN
and SAVE). Additionally, the annoying Nag screens will be removed from the
registered version.

                              - Library -

This program will print out a listing (48 images to a page) of all the
graphic images in a graphics library. Supports PrintMaster, Print Shop and
New Print Shop (Orig and Hi-Res).

                              - EXPORT -

This program will convert PrintMaster/Print Shop/New Print Shop (Orig & Hi-Res)
to either PaintBrush (PCX), First Publisher Art (ART) or GEM (IMG) format. The
program allows you to view the various PrintMaster/PrintShop libraries, picture
by picture, saving any or all the individual pictures in any of the above
formats. (Very useful for desktop publishing).

                         - Library Name Editor -

This program allows the user to modify the names associated with the Graphic
Libraries (PrintMaster/Print Shop/New Print Shop).  Why would you want to do
that?  If you use the CBM2IBM utility to convert Commodore graphics to
IBM Graphic Libraries, the names will probably be garbage. (Because Commodore
file names are longer than IBM file names and the Commodore graphics names are
the disk file names - therefore, when they are converted over - well, it's a
mess.) The Library name editor will help you fix them.  Also, you can change
Graphic Library just because you want to.

                               - PS2PM -

This program will convert Print Shop libraries to Print Master Libraries and
vice versa.  It also converts New Print Shop Libraries to  Print Shop or Print
Master Libraries.

                              - CBM2IBM -

This program converts Commodore 64/128 graphics to IBM PrintMaster Library
format.
